Pride and Prejudice is a fabulous Port Douglas inspired house with an emphasis on indoor/outdoor living. This property which sits on the Flinders golf course and is only a short walk to the sea has been designed to open the entire upper living level to the outside world. When you combine the already large dimensions of the very smart open plan living area with bi-fold doors to both the front and rear outdoor living area - the size, space and the comfort is magnified twofold! What is evident is the sensation and ambience of being somewhere sub-tropical, where you can feel the breeze and smell the sea air from anywhere in the property. Pride and Prejudice is a superb property that is a fantastic getaway regardless of whether you are a couple who simply want to luxuriate in the space or whether you are 4 or 5 couples wanting some up-market entertaining. Fabulous all year round this property is coupled with the open fire both in the upstairs living and the family room downstairs is the northerly position and the extensive use of glass, allowing a beautiful warm ambience in the cooler months. It is simply perfect!

Aside from a double bedroom, the upper level really is dedicated to living. The proportions of this space are huge. The open plan design is not only fabulous but incredibly functional. The reconstituted stone kitchen is elevated by one step and is an inspiring chefs delight. There is ample room to create with the European appliances. A large breakfast bar is a perfect place for you to gather, enjoy a drink and to keep the chef entertained. The 10 seat dining table is adjacent to an entire wall of bi-fold doors that open onto a large deck with inbuilt BBQ, outdoor self-draining wine and beer insulated cooler draws - which just require you to add ice and a large lounge seating area. It effectively means that you can eat or cook both indoors and outdoors. One can not overstate this terrific feature it really is inspired by the tropics! At the opposite end of the living zone are large sumptuous lounges, more bi-fold doors and a superb outlook to the golf course with glimpses of the water. A very easy stroll to some spectacular coastline and the gorgeous village! On the lower level is a family room that has a modular lounge, TV, open fireplace and again a wall of bi-folds which open up onto an undercover deck, including a day bed to laze around on and savour the view. The family room also comes with a wet bar, therefore another great entertaining option!

It has a wonderful sense of privacy and is only a few minutes walk to the beautiful Shelley Beach, where you will find a great place to swim and soak up the sun without all the crowds. Downstairs you will find a very large lounge area that comes with a television/entertainment system and loads of space to fully lounge about. We recently stayed at the Sea Ranch in Rye and the place is amazing. It caters to large groups of 10-12 people and is located on a spectacular block close to the beach and the Mornington peninsula attractions. The property is well maintained and has a magnificent tennis court which seemed to be the hub for the guests, where everyone enjoyed revitalizing their youth as they hit balls all over the court and the fence in some cases! After a long day of tennis, it was great to jump into the hot outdoor spa and unwind.
All guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we are counting down until our next weekend away at the Sea Ranch. I would highly recommend this to all and after staying at several beach houses along the Peninsula this is certainly the best house for entertaining and value for money.
I would also recommend booking any holiday or weekend away with Verve travel and leisure as they made this experience as enjoyable as the weekend away. The consultants were attentive to all needs and ensured that it was a seamless booking. The key was waiting for us when we arrived so there was no need to drive around town looking for a pick-up point and the complimentary wine and assorted goodies were appreciated upon our arrival. The Beach House is an absolute gem! A fabulous contemporary beach house set in one of the best locations on the Peninsula. Perfectly positioned next to the nature reserve and only a stones throw away from the main Sorrento shopping strip. Take a short walk through the reserve and you'll also find some of the best surf in the area! Aside from this property being a quality home with many features that you would find in a seaside resort, it has a wonderful sense of privacy. The property is positioned to maximize the use of both indoor and outdoor living areas. Glass being a fundamental feature of the property, bringing the outside in, with wonderful decks including the sun-soaked alfresco dining area. Whilst there is a distinctive sophisticated feel to The Beach House, it is actually beautifully relaxing and ideal for a year-round beachside escape. The Beach House is a fantastic house for an adults retreat, yet it is equally fabulous for families, with the beach on your doorstep. Or if your thing is to do the trendy shops and cafes of Sorrento, then it is only a short walk away!
* Living and Dining *
As soon as you walk into this property you will feel the wonderful sense of space and refinement. A large open plan living zone confronts you and immediately makes you excited by your choice to stay here. Honey-coloured floorboards, neutral rugs, beautifully chosen furniture, and gorgeous vintage pieces, really do create a wonderful place to chill out and simply enjoy your time. The central fireplace will entice you during the winter months or you can cool down under the large reverse cycle air conditioner in summer. Adjacent is a large stunning 8 seater dining table for a sumptuous feast with your family or friends. If the weather permits then why not enjoy a barbeque, at the adjacent alfresco dining area for 8, with the gorgeous garden as your backdrop. It is a divine setting! The kitchen, whilst not interfering with the living zone, allows you to participate in whatever is going on while you create an inspirational meal. The kitchen has European appliances and all the mod cons that you would expect in a property of this quality. The property has been cleverly designed with decks on all sides to ensure you catch the sun at all times of the day. Beautifully private and somewhat luxurious to have this all to yourself! There is a second living area that comes with TV, with Chromecast and DVD which is a great place to gain some solitude or perhaps a separate rumpus area for the kids to hang out!

The Beach House perfectly accommodates 6 guests.
Bedroom 1 - The Master Suite at the rear of the property is a lovely haven. This bedroom is configured with a King size bed and a large ensuite. The Master Suite also has its own private balcony and split system air conditioner.
The other 2 bedrooms are located in the opposite wing of the house with a central bathroom including a separate spa bath and toilet.
Bedroom 2 - includes a Queen Bed and high powered fan
Bedroom 3 - includes 2 x Single Beds and high powered fan
Linen: provided, including pool towels. The beds will be made up for your arrival.
Pets: may be considered upon request.
