** History **
Along a country road in the middle of lush hinterland lies a country house with Red Hill history.
Mr. and Mrs. Jarman visited Red Hill in the early 1900s from Devon, England to find land to plant an apple orchard. They found rich soil in Red Hill and planted their orchards and built their family home in 1921. The home was named Devonia and was the central part of the original Devon Farm estate, the largest apple orchard on the Mornington Peninsula which spread along Mornington Flinders Road from Tedesca restaurant to Ten Minutes by Tractor. These restaurants were once homes to their children. (These restaurants were once homes and cool stores for their children)
Today, the home is called Cloudland and retains its original Craftsman-style architecture and established gardens and has also been lovingly renovated over the years. A large verandah/deck wraps around the house, the tractor shed is converted to a games room, the horse stable is now a cottage and the gardens now include a swimming pool, cubby house/playground, farm paddocks, vegetable/herb garden, rose arbor with rural views, and more.

The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a renovated kitchen with a new walk-in farm pantry, a large entertainment space, and two separate living spaces with fireplaces. The house retains its original architectural features including high decorative ceilings, fireplaces, and leadlight windows with plenty of natural light.
Enter the home and you'll find the "fireside" sitting room with a large open fireplace, library, sofas with windows that look out onto the front garden and fountain.

There are 3 bathrooms - en-suite with double rain showers; guest bathroom with rain shower and built-in laundry; guest bathroom with shower and claw foot bathtub. The en-suite bathroom and guest bathroom have been fully renovated. (Current photos do not reflect this, updated images available on request).
Down the hallway is a well-equipped kitchen and bar with an open plan living and dining room, with a table seating for up to 12 guests. This large entertaining space has recycled local timber floorboards, beamed ceilings, fireplace, Smart TV, and windows on every side with views of the gardens and valley.
Leading from the entertainment space to the outdoors is a covered terrace with an outdoor dining setting for 10 guests and a BBQ that overlooks the rear lawn, a garden out to the rural views across the valley.
Cloudland has a bright cream interior and an eclectic mix of antique and modern furniture from New York, Asia, and Australia. Some walls house ornate mirrors and the light fixtures include original lamps, Italian Murano glass chandeliers, and sconces along with a chandelier dubbed the Russian Wedding Cake made by a local artist.
The modern touches include ducted and zoned heating and cooling, a renovated kitchen complete with stainless steel workbenches, a marble bar benchtop, and a large open plan living space with sofas and a fireplace.
There is something special to experience everywhere you wander throughout this picturesque property!
** Extras **
The old tractor shed is now a Games Room and houses an antique pool table, games, complete with a chandelier and open fireplace plus seating.
The swimming pool (spa section is not operational for guest use) is adjacent to the main house and securely fenced with views of the gardens, lawn, and valley. It can be seen from the kitchen and dining room.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire home and property including gardens, pool, old-fashioned cubby house/playground, and games room. Laundry facilities are available and are located at the back of the cottage.

The horse/cow paddocks are out of bounds because cows are frequently grazing in them.
The red barn shed is not for guest use.

Sandstone Estate is also a sensational venue for wedding photos set among the sheer beauty of the Estate and Vineyard.
This property is truly spectacular, set among the rolling hills of Red Hill with its name adopted from the beautiful homestead built from Tasmanian sandstone. The Estate itself is 20 acres and is located in a valley. The house is perched at the top edge of the valley giving the best views across the entire estate and vineyard
Upon entering the property you are immersed in the natural beauty surrounding you and the views over the vineyard. This property is cleverly designed to enhance the view and is split into two wings. At the entrance is the North Wing with a Queen bedroom, separate bathroom, and laundry. Features also include an expansive open plan living room, with huge modular couches, a country-style kitchen with an island bench, and bar stools. Opposite the kitchen is a beautiful fully glassed bay window overlooking the back garden, just perfect for catching the morning sun, or sitting back and having your morning cup of tea. There are also another two TV's at the property and both also with Foxtel (They can operate separately with Foxtel packs - Entertainment, Movies, Drama, Documentaries.) One large Smart TV is located in the main living room and the other one is located in the formal living area above the gas fireplace.
The South Wing of the property features a formal lounge and dining room, complete with an 8-seater dining set, open fireplace, comfy lounge, and armchairs. Tastefully furnished with rugs, throws, cushions, artifacts, creating a haven for relaxation. The vista is spectacular and is ideal for entertaining as well. Or if you would prefer to entertain outdoors, there is an alfresco area complete with an outdoor dining table, market umbrella, and BBQ. The remainder of the bedrooms is also located in this wing, including the Master Suite.

Sandstone Estate comfortably sleeps 10 adults and 3 children (please note, 2 children would be sleeping on trundle beds). All rooms have been furnished in a contemporary manner and have a beautiful outlook over the garden or the rolling hills of the vineyard.
Bedroom 1 - Master King Suite, with a spacious modern ensuite and spa bath, walk-in robe, TV with Foxtel, ceiling fan, and wall electric heater. Magnificent Views over the vineyard make this suite the perfect place to relax and get some solitude. (Option for 1 x additional trundle bed for a child only if required).
