Pride and Prejudice is a fabulous Port Douglas inspired house with an emphasis on indoor/outdoor living. This property which sits on the Flinders golf course and is only a short walk to the sea has been designed to open the entire upper living level to the outside world. When you combine the already large dimensions of the very smart open plan living area with bi-fold doors to both the front and rear outdoor living area - the size, space and the comfort is magnified twofold! What is evident is the sensation and ambience of being somewhere sub-tropical, where you can feel the breeze and smell the sea air from anywhere in the property. Pride and Prejudice is a superb property that is a fantastic getaway regardless of whether you are a couple who simply want to luxuriate in the space or whether you are 4 or 5 couples wanting some up-market entertaining. Fabulous all year round this property is coupled with the open fire both in the upstairs living and the family room downstairs is the northerly position and the extensive use of glass, allowing a beautiful warm ambience in the cooler months. It is simply perfect!
*Living and Dining *
Aside from a double bedroom, the upper level really is dedicated to living. The proportions of this space are huge. The open plan design is not only fabulous but incredibly functional. The reconstituted stone kitchen is elevated by one step and is an inspiring chefs delight. There is ample room to create with the European appliances. A large breakfast bar is a perfect place for you to gather, enjoy a drink and to keep the chef entertained. The 10 seat dining table is adjacent to an entire wall of bi-fold doors that open onto a large deck with inbuilt BBQ, outdoor self-draining wine and beer insulated cooler draws - which just require you to add ice and a large lounge seating area. It effectively means that you can eat or cook both indoors and outdoors. One can not overstate this terrific feature it really is inspired by the tropics! At the opposite end of the living zone are large sumptuous lounges, more bi-fold doors and a superb outlook to the golf course with glimpses of the water. A very easy stroll to some spectacular coastline and the gorgeous village! On the lower level is a family room that has a modular lounge, TV, open fireplace and again a wall of bi-folds which open up onto an undercover deck, including a day bed to laze around on and savour the view. The family room also comes with a wet bar, therefore another great entertaining option!

Sea Ranch is the perfect setting for a fabulous peninsula getaway in one of the best precincts of Rye. This property boasts an elevated position, close proximity to the ocean beach, and what's more it has a full-size tennis court and a large outdoor spa. A unique feature at Sea Ranch is the outdoor open fire in the alfresco dining area - absolutely sensational particularly if you entertaining on a chilly night. Privacy is also another feature as Sea Ranch is set on half an acre in the much sought after Rye back beach precinct. It is positioned high above the surrounding treetops and looks over the dunes towards the Rye beach. This two-story, 4 bedrooms (one which doubles as a second living area) , 2 bathroom beach house is only a short drive to the Rye shopping strip, the Peninsula Hot Springs, Moonah Links golf course and is at the gateway to the wine district.

There is a myriad of places to find comfort at Sea Ranch. If you are feeling active then the tennis court is for you perhaps when you have finished smashing the ball you could relax in the large heated outdoor spa. From there make your way inside to the gorgeous granite kitchen and dining room which is located on the mid-level. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven and cooktop. Downstairs you will find a very large lounge area that comes with a television/entertainment system and loads of space to fully lounge about. If you feel like just lazing in the sun then the balcony off the upstairs living bedroom zone is just sublime.

We recently stayed at the Sea Ranch in Rye and the place is amazing. It caters to large groups of 10-12 people and is located on a spectacular block close to the beach and the Mornington peninsula attractions. The property is well maintained and has a magnificent tennis court which seemed to be the hub for the guests, where everyone enjoyed revitalizing their youth as they hit balls all over the court and the fence in some cases! After a long day of tennis, it was great to jump into the hot outdoor spa and unwind.
All guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we are counting down until our next weekend away at the Sea Ranch. I would highly recommend this to all and after staying at several beach houses along the Peninsula this is certainly the best house for entertaining and value for money.
I would also recommend booking any holiday or weekend away with Verve travel and leisure as they made this experience as enjoyable as the weekend away. The consultants were attentive to all needs and ensured that it was a seamless booking. The key was waiting for us when we arrived so there was no need to drive around town looking for a pick-up point and the complimentary wine and assorted goodies were appreciated upon our arrival.
