Beautiful art filled property

Our stay at this property was incredible, the house has everything we needed and more. The pool and spa was amazing and so much fun. Our group loved all the art everything, it made our stay even more enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Magical

I can honestly say that my stay at Cladermeade beach house was the best holiday I have ever had. The house itself has an amazing layout, with just so many spaces to retreat to, depending on your mood, it is never boring. There is art everywhere which makes this place feel exciting, fun and thoughtful. Not to mention the playful sculptures that inhabit the grounds, which give it a lovely magical feel. A definite nod (& a wink) to the Peninsula's penchant for public sculpture parks. I found it hard to decide between laszing on the middle deck with a cup of coffee, peering over the modgrass court contemplating a game of tennis; Or hanging out inside enjoying the views of the rolling sand dunes while perusing all the fabulous art books; Or just easing into the day with a cup of tea on the top balcony overlooking the glorious pool. Serious first world problems. But let me tell you about the pool. OMG! Architecturally designed for a start, surrounded by beautiful lush natives, and a couple of the Donnie Darko-esk sculptures, there was no reason to leave this private oasis. The pool water was so clean and fresh, heated if you want, and at night the glow of colour coming from the spa drew us straight in. In 20 mins we were floating in a hot bath looking up at the stars. It was magic. If I ever get the chance I will definitely come again. I highly recommend.

Fabulous celebratory stay

An absolutely wonderful stay for three generations celebrating a golden wedding anniversary in style. Everyone entranced with the eclectic array of art works everywhere we looked, both inside & out. The pool, spa & tennis court were a huge hit with everyone & on the cool days we loved having the heated pool & spa. A pleasant walk over the dunes too us to secluded beaches. The house gives plenty of space for everyone & plenty of decks & outdoor areas to enjoy. Wine on arrival an appreciated touch

Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different!

This house is absolutely insane. Interesting art everywhere, plenty of well-thought-out and comfortable spaces to spend time in, a beautiful pool area, pizza oven, and a very fun tennis court were just a few of the highlights for us! The master bedroom where we stayed was super comfortable and luxe and the kitchen included everything you could need. Not to mention you're just a short walk away from some spectacular beaches. Felt very lucky to stay in such a special place and would 100% recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different.

Outstanding and unique. The artworks throughout are fabulous. Thoughtful addition to have piles of pool towels in a basket - very handy. A few things went wrong / broke essentially due to the age of the property. But the manager's responsiveness was EXCELLENT."

Love love love!!

Caldermeade is the most amazing and eclectic home that I have ever stayed. There is something around every corner and up and down every stair. A good leg workout 😊 The heated pool and spa were an added bonus when the sun came out for us! The different deck spaces were perfect and the top ones all with blinds to keep the wind out. Worked perfectly for our ladies high tea! The house is well pointed with all mod cons, linen and towels. The agents were amazing to deal with. I'll be back!!

Tennis court Vegetation

We had a great time, but the vegetation around the courts did hinder playing, as trees overhung the court and the moss did make the courts slippy. This also restricted people who wanted to watch from the balcony. I have recommended this house to many friends.

Amazing entertaining house for a group. Lots to do and see in this house. Spaces worked really well.

Our grandchildren will no doubt always remember this house with all its quirky heads and objects. The pool and tennis court, including the club house and permanent spectators were a great hit with all. We were served many imaginary drinks and eats from the kids whilst down at the court and were continually invited to the “coffee shop” 😊 The heads are never ending and spectacular. The house is spacious with all separate rooms and areas and built for entertaining. One almost requires a map at the start as the house is a maze. The only negative was the beds were in need of a mattress upgrade. Thank you Kathryn and I am sure there will be pressure for a return visit. Overall rating 9 of 10

Fantastic Property

We stayed at Caldermeade recently with another family. In total, there were 4 adults and 6 children. It was our second visit to Caldermeade as it is such a fantastic property for a large group especially with children. The heated pool is beautiful for both adults and children. The property is tastefully furnished and very quirky. The are multiple entertaining areas both inside and out for which make it a wonderful stay. The tennis court and outdoor bar area are also a wonderful feature.

This house has everything we wanted: Pool spa tennis court arts BBQ sky high view walking distance to the ocean... We are glad we got offered late check out on Sunday. 2 nights staying is definitely not long enough in this amazing house!

Fabulous space for a group of friends. Loved the fire pit, heated pool and tennis court...not to mention the stylish decor. Walking distance to a beautiful beach. Great host with prompt communication, we loved our stay!

Fun, welcoming and great setting. Multiple living areas inside and outside make for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Accommodates a large family with plenty of areas to spread out. Lovely pool and spa and well maintained tennis court.

Absolutely wonderful!

Absolutely wonderful! The highlights for me were the full sized tennis court that is in excellent condition with lots of balls and raquets to use, and the bar room equipped with full size fridge and wine cooler and barbecue area. The pool is also lovely and gas heated so heats up really quick as does the spa that is also in the pool. Interior is very stylish with lots of art and some wonderful books to have a read through. All in all we had an amazing stay and will 100% be looking to return to the property! Thank you.

Absolutely loved the property. So beautiful, pool is perfect, and the gas heating aspect makes it a very comfortable dip! Full sized tennis court with the barbecue and bar area adjacent is just perfect. Loved it. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Great beach house with eclectic taste in artwork!

Overall we had a great stay and loved all the different balconies for sitting outside, weather permitting.

Amazing art and lots of spaces to relax, this house is a brilliant getaway for 2 families or a big group of friends. Thanks Verve, we had a fantastic stay!

What a house!

What a house... amazing location, and the house had so much character. Only house perhaps with more books than what I own :) 2 x fireplaces to enjoy as the temperature fell. Heaters in all the rooms. 2 x BBQ to host guests. Kids loved the heated pool, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and of course enjoying tennis ... only 10 mins walk to Spray Point which was beautiful at sunset. Mins away from the beaches of Sorrento, Rye and Portsea made it a very central location. The listing agent were brilliant to deal with - they allowed us to check in early and leave late so we could make the most of it. Will definitely be back!

Awesome view

Stylish property with tennis court and swimming pool, we enjoyed the stay during Xmas. The only down side was the uncomfortable beds, sagging mattress not supportive, other than that everything was perfect!
